Monofilament long-term implants
MOPYLEN and RESOPREN are monofilament, non-absorbable materials that are used especially in cardiac and vascular surgery due to their universal characteristics.
MOPYLEN
MOPYLEN is a synthetic, non-absorbable thread that is manufactured by the polymerisation of Propylen.
MOPYLEN is hydrophobic, inert and non-thrombogenic. By virtue of these properties and its non-ageing characteristics, this thread is especially suitable for permanent implants in which the material has to remain in the tissue for a long period of time. This is even possible in inflamed or infected wound areas.

RESOPREN
RESOPREN is a synthetic non-absorbable thread made of polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF), which is manufactured by the polymerisation of dyed granules by dry spinning..
Resopren is hydrophobic, inert and non-thrombogenic. By virtue of these properties and its non-ageing characteristics, this thread is especially suitable for permanent implants in which the material has to remain in the tissue for a long period of time. Due to its special structure and surface properties, the thread is particularly flexible.
