Absorbable oxidised cellulose

RESORBA® CELL is used for surgery and minimally invasive procedures to support haemostasis in capillary, venous, and smaller, more diffuse, arterial bleeding, where conventional haemostatic measures like sutures or ligatures are neither effective nor practicable.

RESORBA® CELL standard

THE PRODUCT:

RESORBA® CELL standard is a sterile and absorbable knitted fabric that is created from natural cellulose by controlled oxidation. The product is white and does not fray when cut. The product has different tensile properties in longitudinal and transverse directions. This property permits precise dosing when cutting to size.

INDICATIONS:

RESORBA® CELL standard serves to control the haemostasis of capillary bleeding and also venous or diffuse arterial bleeding. In addition to their topical haemostatic properties, RESORBA® CELL products also have bactericidal properties that prevent the growth and spread of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms as well as aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.

RESORBA® CELL fibrillar

THE PRODUCT:

RESORBA® CELL fibrillar is arranged in individual layers that can be separated from each other in any desired thickness. In doing so, the fibres continue to hold together without separating uncontrollably in the operating environment. The RESORBA® CELL fibrillar version has a particularly low specific weight while providing maximum surface area and excellent mouldability.

INDICATIONS
:

RESORBA® CELL fibrillar is recommended for achieving haemostasis on large surfaces, as well as for use on uneven or difficult-to-reach areas. As it can be very precisely dosed, in any layer thickness and hardly takes up any space of its own, it is preferred for applications in neurosurgery and other disciplines that have similarly demanding anatomical requirements.

RESORBA® CELL forte

THE PRODUCT:

RESORBA® CELL forte is also knitted and has all the properties of the RESORBA® CELL standard variety, but is more robust and dense. The properties thus have a more intensive effect, making it suitable for suture lines.
The product does not leave a frayed edge when cut.
